I met Carolyn 25 years ago as a patient and she put me on the path to healing and self-care after a tough time as a younger person. She changed my life so much for the better, and with her guidance and support I negotiated an aggressive cancer, which I have remained free of for 11 yrs. She was the reason I made it. I loved her like a mum, and she described herself as my ‘soul mum’ providing so much support where mine couldn’t. She was wise beyond words, funny and smart. She was a towering figure in my life and will be forever, so much positivity and joy comes to mind when I think of her. I have copies of her wonderful emails which I read and re-read whenever I need a lift, some perspective or just a laugh. What an incredible woman. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have known her.
