The day our paths crossed.

Carolyn, my rock.
I met Carolyn, along with Gary,Carly & Julia long ago, back in 2004.
I was an inpatient in the hospital when Carolyn was wheeled in to a bay opposite me on the ward.
I will never forget that day, she looked horrific, just coming out of her major surgery of many, many hours.
I spoke to Gary very briefly & then Carly & Julia the following day.
Then I started speaking to this amazing lady,Carolyn, she said to me, I know your problems & I can heal you but you must wait until I’m better.
We cared for each other in hospital as the weeks went by.
Nobody could understand what she was asking but we made codes to each other & she got by. If she needed me in the night she flashed her light at me or rang her bell & I helped her with what ever she needed.
We were discharged from hospital around the same time & it was from then on we became the best of friends.
Along with Carly & Julia too.
She did stick to her words & did heal me as She said she would.
She has continued to treat me  & kept me  on on the right track, for which I am truly grateful for.
She watched my family grow & treated them too.

She was forever telling me that our paths crossing that day in 2004, gave her another 16 years of life with her family & husband Gary,  but to me that was the day she became my rock.

I will never forget you Carolyn & you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Rest in peace, loving you always Cheryl xx
