About 10 days before Carolyn died she sat down our amazing 3 year old grandaughter Phoebe and asked if she remembered what Nanny told her about what happened when our beloved dog Belle died last year  (also only 3 years old and another victim of cancer) yes she said “Belles gone to live with Angels.” well Carolyn said soon Nanny is going to live with Belle and the Angels, there was a silence while Phoebe thought about it before saying “can you walk now nanny?” No darling Carolyn said “well how are you going to walk Belle then?” was Phoebe’s reply and flounced out the room.

3 days after Carolyn had passed the family were all at my house and i said I would take Phoebe to the childrens playground inside Garsons Farm garden centre ( the best playground for young ones in Surrey) on the way we had drive past Princess Alice hospice which Phoebe had been to many times to see Carolyn, but not for a few weeks, as the car went past Phoebe said “thats where Nanny lives now... hi Nanny,” an hour later when we passed again it was “bye Nanny”

Now she talks to Nanny when she goes to bed as she has a photo of the pair of them together.
